Axiom was incorporated in the mid 1960's establishing a record of over 55 years experience in acquiring and managing multi-family properties. Through this experience, we have developed systems to efficiently manage, maintain, re-brand and market these assets. Michael J. Silk
Co-Chief Executive Officer
Mike boasts over 26 years of property management experience, having overseen property operations since 2007. He progressed through the ranks, starting as a Leasing Agent, then Assistant Manager, Property Manager, Regional Manager, and Vice President and Director of Operations, before becoming Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mike holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Northern Illinois University and is a licensed Real Estate Broker. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a deep understanding of property management, operations, and leadership, making him an invaluable asset to the organization. With his extensive experience and education, Mike provides vision and guidance, driving growth and shaping the future of Axiom.
Roger Cagann
Co-Chief Executive Officer
Roger serves as the Co-Chief Executive Officer, bringing over 35 years of extensive experience in real estate management and investment. He is an alumnus of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. His leadership extends beyond the corporate realm, having been elected and served as the Village President of Genoa City, WI. Additionally, he holds the esteemed designation of a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois and Wisconsin.
As Co-CEO, Roger adds significant value to Axiom through his strategic vision, operational expertise, and commitment to excellence, driving growth and success in the ever-evolving real estate landscape.
Ivana Mihalic, CPA
Controller
Ivana has over 30 years of real estate accounting experience, overseeing Axiom's accounting department and coordinating all accounting operational functions, financial reporting, income tax compliance, and investor relations. She holds a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master's of Business Administration specializing in accounting and finance from Loyola University Chicago. Additionally, Ivana is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), demonstrating her expertise and commitment to upholding the highest standards of accounting excellence. With her comprehensive educational background and professional certification, Ivana plays a vital role in Axiom's financial management and success, ensuring financial integrity, transparency, and growth.
Eric A. Anderson, ARM
Chief Investment Officer
Eric has over 30 years of real estate management and investment experience, having learned the Axiom way through various roles, including Property Manager, Regional Manager, and Vice President of Acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Illinois and is a licensed Real Estate Managing Broker and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) from The Institute of Real Estate Management. As Chief Investment Officer, Eric leverages his extensive experience, education, and industry knowledge to drive Axiom's investment strategy and growth, making him an invaluable asset to the organization with his unique blend of property management, acquisitions, and investment expertise.
Michael J. Bleker
Senior Asset Manager
Mike has over 29 years of property management experience, with a strong focus on special project and rehabilitation project supervision. He currently serves as Senior Asset Manager, overseeing a portfolio of 16 properties across Wisconsin and Iowa, totaling 3,521 units. Previously, he held roles as Leasing Agent, Property Manager, and Regional Manager, where he managed a portfolio of 13 properties with 2,400 units. Mike holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Northern Illinois University and is a licensed Wisconsin Real Estate Broker. With his extensive experience and education, Mike has developed a unique understanding of the industry, enabling him to excel in his current role and drive success across Axiom's portfolio.
Kelly Gundberg, ARM
Director of Training and Development
Kelly brings nearly 20 years of management experience and creative training expertise to Axiom, where she has developed and implemented comprehensive training programs for Axiom Properties' portfolio since 2017. With a tenure at Axiom starting in 2006 as a Leasing Agent, Assistant Manager, and Property Manager, Kelly leverages her hands-on experience to deliver unique, on-the-job training that fosters skill development and knowledge retention. Holding credentials from Western Illinois University (Social Work Studies), a Broker's License, ARM certification, and Modern Classroom Certified Trainer, Kelly is an invaluable asset to Axiom, driving growth and excellence through exceptional training and development leadership that builds a foundation of dedicated, knowledgeable associates integral to the organization's success.
Joshua Kennedy, CAM
Regional Property Manager
Josh brings over 22 years of property management expertise to Axiom, overseeing Iowa, Northwest Illinois, and Southern Wisconsin as Regional Manager. He leads a portfolio of 5 properties, totaling 1,425 units, leveraging his comprehensive understanding of Axiom's operations, gained through progressive roles as Maintenance Technician, Leasing Agent, Assistant Manager, and Property Manager. Josh holds an associate degree from Black Hawk College, studied Business Administration at Western Illinois University, and has earned CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) and CAPS (Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor) designations from the National Apartment Association. Logan Johnson, CAM
Senior Asset Manager
Logan brings 17 years of diverse property management expertise, overseeing a portfolio of 13 properties comprising 3,120 units. Throughout his career, Logan has demonstrated adaptability and strategic leadership, managing properties of varying sizes (252-660 units) in distinct rental markets. His progression within Axiom, from Assistant Property Manager to Property Manager, Regional Manager and now Senior Asset Manager, has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the company's operations and values. Logan's impressive credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University, the esteemed CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) designation, and licensure as a Real Estate Broker, underscoring his commitment to excellence and industry expertise. She manages a portfolio of 10 properties, totaling 1,981 units, having progressed through Axiom's ranks as Leasing Agent, Assistant Manager, and Multi-site Property Manager. Asta holds an Associate's Degree in Tourism and Sports Business Management from Lithuanian LSU University, along with Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification and a Real Estate Agent license. Laura brings over 10 years of property management expertise, having risen through the ranks from Leasing Agent to Regional Manager, exemplifying the company's commitment to internal growth and development. Building on the Axiom way, Laura successfully managed multiple properties, ranging from 156 to 498 units, honing her skills in operational efficiency, resident satisfaction, and team leadership. Now, she oversees eight properties in Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana, totaling 1,699 units, leveraging her expertise to drive regional success. Laura's academic achievements include an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Northeast Iowa College, where she graduated with honors, and she holds the esteemed Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification. With her unique blend of grassroots experience, industry credentials, and business acumen, Laura plays a vital role in Axiom's continued growth and excellence, delivering exceptional results and setting standards for operational excellence.

Joanna brings over two decades of Executive and Administrative Assistant expertise to Axiom Properties, consistently delivering high-caliber support to senior executives and colleagues. With a refreshingly candid and authentic approach, Joanna takes immense pride in her work, ensuring seamless execution of strategic business initiatives and fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and efficiency.
